Virginia Tech Mobile Tickets

Overview

In an effort to provide a more convenient, sustainable and secure gameday experience, Virginia Tech Athletics implemented mobile ticketing in 2021. Featuring an enhanced HokieSports mobile app and My Account portal, managing your Tech Athletics tickets has never been easier. Mobile ticketing will also help provide an additional level of security, guarding against the production of fraudulent and counterfeit tickets.

DELIVERY
Once tickets have been added to your account, you will receive an email confirmation and can select the designated game. Football tickets will be available in mid-August.

ADD
Select the designated game and choose to add tickets to your digital wallet. It is recommended you save your tickets to your mobile phone for quick and easy access when at the gates.

TRANSFER
If you cannot make it to the game, you can transfer your tickets to friends and family directly from the HokieSports app on your mobile phone.

PRESENT
Pull up your tickets via the digital wallet on your mobile device, and simply scan the QR code on each ticket to enter the venue. Each mobile ticket should be kept secure and treated like any other valid ticket.

You can now add your entire season ticket to your phone's wallet by only needing to download one ticket for each seat on your account. The ticket(s) will automatically update to the next game.

How to Add to Mobile Wallet

STEP 1: Download the HokieSports mobile app
Available on both Apple and Android devices, the HokieSports mobile app is the easiest place to access your game tickets and account. Click here to download the HokieSports app.

STEP 2: Log in
Tap the "Tickets" icon on the main menu and log in using the email and password associated with your ticket account.

STEP 3: Choose a game
Select your designated game from the list available.

STEP 4: Add to wallet
Select "Add to mobile wallet" to save the ticket to your phone.

STEP 5: Repeat for remaining ticket(s)
Repeat Steps 3-4 for any additional tickets.

STEP 6: View in Mobile Wallet
Open your phone's mobile wallet to have your ticket ready to scan at the gate on gameday.

How to Transfer Tickets

STEP 1: From the My Tickets page, select Transfer Tickets.

STEP 2: Select the game, then the seat(s) you want to transfer.

STEP 3: Enter the mobile number or email address of the person you'd like to receive the tickets.

STEP 4: Review the transfer and select Transfer Tickets at the bottom of the screen.

Accepting a Transfer

STEP 1: The recipient will receive a text message or email with a link to accept the transfer.

STEP 2: They'll be asked to log in or create a new Virginia Tech Ticket Office account.

STEP 3: The individual can accept or decline the transfer. A user has 48 hours to accept a transfer. Once accepted, fans should add the tickets to their mobile wallet and have them ready to scan on gameday.

Frequently Asked Questions

Adopting digital ticketing is about giving fans more flexibility with their tickets, while at the same time, maintaining a safe fan experience. The result, we believe, will be easier access to tickets as well as quick and convenient entry into Virginia Tech Athletics facilities. As an added benefit, it reduces the risk of lost, stolen, or counterfeit tickets and allows you to manage, transfer, or sell your tickets at any time directly from your smartphone.

Mobile ticketing will be used for all ticketed sports.

Season parking passes for applicable sports will still be delivered via UPS as hard copy passes for each game.

Indoor Club, Outdoor Club, Zone Club, Touchdown Terrace, Suites, and Tables will still be delivered via UPS as hard tickets as they have been in the past.

For those who completed your order of premium seating season tickets after June 29, 2022, your tickets will be mobile. Use this link for more information and instructions for accessing your mobile tickets.

As a premium seating account holder, you do still have the option of transferring your tickets via the mobile application even if you have a physical ticket. Once a premium ticket is transferred, the original ticket barcode is no longer valid, thus cannot be scanned at the gate.

Tickets for each sport will be available to manage electronically, a couple of weeks before the first home game. For football, tickets will be available approximately August 12.

You will have the ability to manage your tickets through the Virginia Tech Hokies app or online at hokiesports.com/MyAccountDownload the app here. Once downloaded, fans can manage their tickets by clicking on Tickets in the bottom right-hand corner, selecting manage tickets, and logging in using their email address and password tied to the Virginia Tech Athletics Online Account.

Your tickets will always live at Hokiesports.com/MyAccount. Simply log in to your Virginia Tech Online Account to reissue your tickets and receive a new email.

Yes. Both Apple and Android devices allow you to access your tickets via the official Virginia Tech Hokies mobile app. Your smartphone will also support the storage and quick retrieval of your tickets via a digital wallet.

You’ll need to transfer a ticket to each member of your party. This allows you and your guest(s) to arrive at the venue at your convenience. Once the ticket transfer offer has been sent, the recipient will receive a text instructing them to accept the ticket and add it to their digital wallet. Yes. You can view all of your tickets by swiping left or right on your smartphone. We highly encourage you to transfer a ticket to each member of your party to allow for the easiest entry. For instructions on how to transfer digital tickets, see the Ticket Transfer information here.

For issues in advance of game day, please contact Virginia Tech Athletics at 540-231-6731, and we will assist in troubleshooting the problem. On game days, please visit our box office located at Gate 4 or look for one of our Mobile Ambassadors stationed near each gate for help. We recommend fully charging your smartphone before you arrive.

You can use the reissue functionality to get a Print at Home version of your digital ticket and print it on your personal printer. Log in to your ticket account on your desktop computer or your laptop, click on "Manage My Account" at the top of the screen, then click on "Reissue" on the left side under "My Tickets." Select the game and seats you want to print, then click the "Yes, Reissue" button. An email from the ticketing system will follow shortly with a link to print your tickets on your own printer. Follow the instructions in that email, then bring your printed tickets with you on gameday.

Before arriving at the game, download your tickets to Apple Wallet or Google Pay. Once the tickets are downloaded, connectivity or Wi-Fi is not required to access your tickets. If you did not download your tickets in advance, please visit the Virginia Tech Athletics Ticket Office for assistance.
