CASSELL COLISEUM
One of College Wrestling's Most Unique Experiences Every Single Year
Virginia Tech's wrestling student-athletes train in the 6,000-square foot, $1 million Street Olympic Sports Athletic Performance Center. The two-tiered facility includes a lower level dedicated to strength training and a unique 1,800-square foot mezzanine level dedicated to functional movement, which helps student-athletes prevent injuries.
The Nutrition Oasis serves as an area where Virginia Tech wrestling student-athletes can access Gatorade products, smoothies, fruits, trail mix and Greek yogurt for fueling before, during and after practice. Tech's sports nutrition staff dedicates itself to staying on the cutting edge of nutritional research to help student-athletes reach peak performance.
The Student-Athlete Academic Support Services offices are located on the west side of Lane Stadium between the north and south towers. The staff provides comprehensive academic support services such as tutoring, studying assistance, computing technology, and academic and individual skill development programs.
The $20 million Student-Athlete Performance Center, finished in 2020 and built on the top floor of the Jamerson Athletics Center, enables student-athletes to grab snacks or eat meals from a full-service kitchen. Its expanded dining area overlooks the Steve Johnson Football Practice Fields and Lane Stadium.
Opened in August 2021, the Creativity and Innovation District residence hall is the home of nearly 600 Hokies who share in one of Tech's many living-learning communities. Within this state-of-the-art, 232,000-square-foot facility, student-athletes can merge their academic and co-curricular experiences to create a supportive, dynamic campus living environment.
