Assistant Director, Digital Marketing
Responsibilities: Jones assists in the creation, management, facilitation and execution of direct revenue campaigns across email, digital advertising and social media digital mediums on behalf of Virginia Tech Athletics. She supports cross-functional work by producing email and digital advertising deliveries and manages the department’s email communications calendar, and delivers results inclusive of revenue generation, fan engagement and customer and donor acquisition and retention.

At Virginia Tech: Jones first started at Tech as a digital communications coordinator, running the Virginia Tech Athletics social media account and implementing new-found strategies that enhanced the Hokies’ brand. She then was promoted and began transitioning into more of a focus on email marketing, feature articles and vertical-video storytelling, while reporting on analytics of said campaigns.
 
Prior to Virginia Tech: Jones worked at the NCAA as a postgraduate intern in the creative and digital communications department for one year, leading content plans for NCAA Championships, capturing, editing and publishing videos of high-level events and working hand-in-hand with Andy Katz to produce and post the NCAA Social Series show.

Prior to her time at the national office, Jones was a digital marketing intern for the Hurricane Junior Golf Team one summer, creating assets for website, emails and social media. She also generated digital campaigns for corporate sponsors and sales efforts. 
 
Education: Washington and Lee, 2022 (B.A. in business administration).
 
Of Note: Jones moderated a digital and social media breakout session at the NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar, and also was a part of the NCAA Communications Culture Team, planning engaging events for NCAA staff members. A four-year letterwinner on the Washington and Lee track and field team, Jones competed in the 4x400-meter relay and pole vault events. At the 2020 ODAC Indoor Championships, she won the pole vault event and ran a leg on the second-place 4x400-meter relay. She is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA). 
 
Personal: A native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Jones resides in Blacksburg.
