Responsibilities: As Ticket Operations Director for Finance, Knachel oversees all matters of budgeting, deposit reconciliation, game reconciliation, invoicing, staff tickets, and records management. She also supervises the use of the Paciolan Platform for all customer-facing financial processes. She is Ticket Operations’ first contact for accounts payable and accounts receivable. Knachel loves working with the many and varied members of Hokie Nation and strives to make their interactions with Ticket Operations both positive and helpful.
Joined VT Athletics Staff: Knachel began working part-time in Ticket Operations in November 2019, and became a full-time Director in May 2022.
Prior to Virginia Tech: Prior to joining Virginia Tech Athletics, Kelly had a 30-year career in public education as a classroom teacher and technology resource teacher.
Education: Virginia Tech (B.A. in Elementary Education); Radford University (MS in Technology Education)
Personal: A native of Bedford County, Virginia, Knachel currently resides in Christiansburg with her husband, Dave; daughter, Macie; and multiple furbabies.
