2006-07: Swam a season-best time of 59.38 in the 100-yard backstroke and a season-best 2:09.96 in the 200 breaststroke at the meet ... Finished 30th in the 100 breaststroke and 32nd in the 100 backstroke at the Nike Cup.

2005-06: Placed 18th in the 100-yard breaststroke and 21st in the 200 breaststroke at the ACC championships ... Placed seventh in the 100 breaststroke at the Nike Cup ... Also swam the second leg of the 400 medley relay team which placed third at the Nike Cup.

High School: Swam for Sue Stone at Riverside ... All-American consideration in the 100-yard back ... Second place in the 100 backstroke in his junior year ... on the state champion 200 free relay team his sophomore season ... Four time all-conference honoree ... Conference co-swimmer of the year.

Personal: James Stephen Sizemore Aitken was born Dec. 28, 1986, in Durham, N.C. ... Son of George and Martha Aitken.
