Hokies fall to ETSU on first day of Virginia Tech Classic

BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech fell to ETSU in its first game of the Virginia Tech Classic on Thursday night, 3-1. The result moves the Hokies to 8-2 on the season.

Tech got off to a slow start during the first set, coming back to win the second set before the Buccaneers got a foothold in the final two sets.

The Hokies were led offensively by junior Payton Woods, who tallied 12 kills. Sarah Malinowski posted eight kills, with Reese Hazelton and Brianna Holladay both adding five kills apiece. Erika Dellesky registered 12 assists.
