Hokie ClubGAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Virginia Tech throws event group competed at the 2025 Florida Relays on Friday and Saturday in the hammer throw and shot put.
Mariana Pestana completed the women's hammer throw as the top collegiate performer, collecting a distance of 65.28m (214'2"). Just two weeks ago, she entered the all-time top 10 performers list in the event at No. 8, and after the 65.28m mark, she advances to No. 5 all-time for Virginia Tech.
Katie Seyfang captured her second event win of the season with a 16.17m (53'0.75") in the shot put, advancing her standing as No. 7 all-time for Virginia Tech.
