BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech men's and women's swimming and diving teams excelled both in the pool and in the classroom during the Fall 2023 semester. Both the men and the women were named a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team.
A total of 783 teams from 461 institutions were recognized as a Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2023 semester. These teams, representing a total of 18,716 student-athletes, were chosen based on their outstanding academic performance during the specified semester.
In order to qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to exhibit exceptional grade point averages during the Fall 2023 semester. Of the selected teams, an impressive 595 achieved a GPA of 3.30 or above, earning eligibility for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.
The Tech women had an impressive cumulative team GPA of 3.51, while the Tech men had a 3.12 cumulative team GPA.
VT is back in action next week, Feb. 20-24, at the 2024 ACC swimming and diving championships in Greensboro, N.C.
