Tune into Hokies baseball on the Virginia Tech Sports Network

BLACKSBURG – Hitting the air waves from college ballparks across the map this spring, the Virginia Tech Sports Network is proud to bring you every pitch of the Virginia Tech baseball team's 2024 campaign – from Friday's Opening Day to the 2024 ACC Baseball Championship and the duration of the Hokies' postseason run to Omaha.

Returning to the broadcast booth for his third season as Virginia Tech's lead play-by-play voice is Evan Hughes, 2021 graduate of the Virginia Tech School of Communication. The 2021 Jim Nantz Award recipient has covered many of the Hokies' storied moments since 2018, including the program's 2022 ACC Coastal Division championship and ensuing run through the 2022 NCAA Blacksburg Regional and Super Regional.

Providing game action alongside Evan this season, fans will also hear from returning Virginia Tech baseball broadcasters Kevin DiDomenico and Giovanni Heater. DiDomenico is a 2022 Virginia Tech graduate of the School of Communication who recently served as the voice of the Reno Aces (Arizona Diamondbacks Triple-A affiliate) while Heater is an emerging junior at Virginia Tech who serves as the co-voice of the Salem Red Sox (Boston Red Sox Single-A affiliate).

"We could not be more excited to provide play-by-play coverage of every game, digital content and podcasts for Tech fans once again this year," said Hughes, Virginia Tech assistant director of broadcast services. "I could not be more excited to have Giovanni and Kevin return to help with our coverage. They have spent years covering this program and are fantastic people, let alone broadcasters."
