LOS ANGELES, Calif. (January 10, 2024) – The Los Angeles Athletic Club announced the John R. Wooden Award® presented by Principal® Midseason Top 25 Watch List today on ESPN2. Chosen by a poll of national college basketball experts based on their performances during the 2023-24 season thus far, the list is comprised of 25 student-athletes who are front-runners for the sport's most prestigious honor.

 

Virginia Tech is one six schools to have two or more athletes appear on the list.

 

Kitley, a three time All-American and two-time ACC Player of the Year, is the reigning ACC Player of the Week after posting two games with 27 points and 12 rebounds. She hit the game-winner Sunday as the Hokies handed the NC State Wolfpack their first loss of the season.

 

Amoore averages 17.4 points per game and 7.5 assists which ranks top five in the nation. The Aussie has scored 20 or more in all three of the Hokies' ACC victories this season.
