BLACKSBURG — The Virginia Tech women's golf team heads to Greensboro, N.C. for this week's ACC Women's Golf Championship at Sedgefield Country Club. Last time at Sedgefield, the Hokies narrowly missed match play, finishing fifth at the 2021 championship.
Twelve teams are set to compete beginning Thursday, April 13 at the par 72, 6,092-yard layout. Thursday will feature 36 holes of continuous stroke play, followed by Friday's 18-hole final round of stroke play. Upon completion of the 54 holes, the top four teams will advance to the weekend and switch to a match play format to decide the ACC champion.

Tech, the eighth seed, will be paired with No. 7 seed North Carolina and No. 9 seed Louisville for Thursday's opening two rounds. The Hokies will tee-off Thursday between 8:50-9:30 a.m. on hole No. 10. Wake Forest, Florida State and Virginia claimed the top three seeds, respectively.
One point will be on the line this week for the Commonwealth Clash, presented by Smithfield, as Tech and UVA will battle to be the top finisher following stroke play.
The Hokies' lineup will consist of Becca DiNunzio, Morgan Ketchum, Symone Henriques, Ginnie Lee and Alyssa Montgomery.
The 2023 event will mark the 34th ACC Championship in league history and the 11th appearance at Sedgefield Country Club. Wake Forest, the second-ranked team in the nation according to Golfstat, is the defending champion.
Saturday's semifinal matches and Sunday's championship match will be streamed on ACC Network Extra. Ryan Burr (play-by-play) and Suzy Whaley (analyst) will provide the call.
