Why did you end up committing to Virginia Tech? I fell in love with campus the minute I arrived. I visited in the summer so it was a little emptier than usual, but I still knew it was the place for me. The saying "This is home" that we say may be a little cheesy, but I really knew VT was meant to be my home.

What is your major and why did you choose it? My major is HNFE and I knew I wanted to do it since about junior year of high school. After college, I want to be an athletic physical therapist and I knew Virginia Tech was a place I could both play lacrosse and achieve my career goals.

What was the best thing about your recruiting visit that drew you in? The Virginia Tech hospitality was the biggest thing that stood out to me. From the coaches to complete strangers, everyone was nice and holding doors and smiling at each other.

How helpful was your club experience in getting you recruited? I didn't begin to play club lacrosse until seventh grade, so I thought I was too late compared to most girls. But with the help of my coaches Kristen and Todd Matthiesen, along with Rob Ferrer, I was able to build up my confidence and push myself to play at the collegiate level.

What has been the biggest adjustment from high school to college lacrosse? The biggest change is definitely the speed. Practice operates at that next level that you anticipate when making the jump from high school speed to the college game. But I love the intensity we operate practice with and every practice feels like real competition.

Has there been anybody on the team you've really bonded with that's been your go to? Jane Brewer. She was on my club team and is now my roommate so she knows me very well. With everything we've been through together, it's nice to have her on this journey with me and it has been super fun getting to do all these new things together.

What would you say is your biggest lacrosse strength? My biggest strength is my grittiness and being coachable. I take as much feedback as possible since I just want to grow and help the team however I personally can.
