It's hard to believe that the football is back, but it is, as the NFL held its first preseason games this past weekend.

Week 1 of the preseason took place, which means we're back again with our NFL Hokies articles, presented by Coca-Cola. Read below for Wednesday's edition.

Notable Preseason Week 1 Performances

Khalil "Juice" Herbert
The Chicago Bears running back picked up where he left off from last year, scoring on a 56-yard receiving touchdown against the Titans at Soldier Field. He also ran the ball four times for 16 yards.

James Mitchell
A tight end for the Detroit Lions, Mitchell also played at home and did well, hauling in three passes for 53 yards, including a 32-yarder versus the Giants.

Tim Settle
Heading into Year 2 in Buffalo, the Bills defensive lineman earned a sack against the Colts, dropping Indianapolis quarterback Gardner Minshew.


Amaré Barno
The Carolina Panthers defensive end picked up two tackles versus the New York Jets, including a sack.

Chamarri Conner
The rookie shined in his NFL debut, recording a pass deflection and a sack against the Saints.

Terrell Edmunds
With his new team, the Eagles safety put together a two-tackle performance that included a sack versus the Ravens.

Tyrod Taylor
Now in his 13th season, the New York Giants quarterback went 3 for 4 in the air and racked up seven passing yards against the Bills.
