Both Virginia Tech men's and women's basketball teams expect to hear their names called on Sunday night for postseason tournaments.
According to ESPN, the Hokies' women's basketball squad is projected to earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament on the heels of their first-ever ACC Tournament title. Tech is currently riding an 11-game winning streak and has ascended to as high as No. 4 in the most recent AP Top 25 poll. First and second round games are expected to take place in Cassell Coliseum, and ticket information has already been released.
Fans are invited to attend an NCAA Tournament Selection Show watch party in Cassell Sunday evening. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. ET, and admission is free. Those in attendance will be able to take photos with Tech's ACC Tournament trophy before the event begins at 7:15 p.m.
