Hokie ClubFreshman midfielder Oliva Vergano earned Honorable Mention All-America honors from Inside Lacrosse the publication announced Monday.
Vergano also garnered IWLCA South Region Second Team honors after a season where she was second on the squad with 40 goals and earned a place on the ACC's All-Freshman Team. She scored two game-winning goals, had multiple goals in 12 contests and recorded a hat trick seven times. Her 73 draw controls are the eight-most in VT history for a single season.
The West Babylon, New York native was named the ACC's Co-Offensive Player of the Week on March 15 after scoring four goals in both wins over Notre Dame and Winthrop. Vergano was the only freshman to win an ACC weekly award in 2022.
