TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Two days after picking up a top-30 result on the road, Virginia Tech fell to No. 33 Florida State, 4-1.
Without their No. 18-ranked duo of Ryan Fishback and Jordan Chrysostom for the second match in a row, the Hokies fell behind by dropping the doubles point.
In singles, the Seminoles picked up wins on Court 3 and Court 6 in straight sets to extend the lead to 3-0. Scott Sculley, Tech's hero on Friday, backed up his performance with another win, putting the Hokies on the board with a 6-2, 6-4 win.
Florida State clinched match shortly after with a win on Court 2.
Virginia Tech will be back in action at home on Wednesday, April 13, against Commonwealth rivals Virginia.
