MINNEAPOLIS (March 31, 2022) – Aliyah Boston of the University of South Carolina is the 2022 Wade Trophy winner and headlines the 2022 WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America team, announced today by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.
The prestigious Wade Trophy is presented annually to the WBCA's NCAA Division I Player of the Year. The Coaches' All-America team is composed of the 10 best players in Division I regardless of position as chosen by the division's head coaches.

Kitley has already become the first Hokie to make an AP All-America team with her Third Team recognition earlier this season.
The Summerfield, North Carolina native was also named the ACC's Player of the Year and Kay Yow Scholar Athlete of the Year.
The 6-foot-6 Kitley is a finalist for the Lisa Leslie Award, honoring the nation's top center in the collegiate game.
She recorded 15 double-doubles this season to lead the ACC, as did her 13 games of 20 or more points. The Summerfield, North Carolina native set a program record with 42 points in the Hokies' NCAA Tournament game against FGCU.
An ACC All-Defensive Team selection, Kitley recorded nine games this season with four or more blocks.
She has already been honored as a Second Team All-American by The Athletic, and is a semifinalist for the Naismith Award.
