Tech set for Pro Day Tuesday

BLACKSBURG – On Tuesday afternoon, Virginia Tech football will conduct its annual Pro Day in front of NFL coaches, scouts and personnel, with 14 Hokies participating.

Following weigh-in and measurements, the group of players will be tested in the bench press, broad jump and vertical jump in the Hokies' weight room, before on-field drills and the 40-yard dash take place in the Beamer-Lawson Indoor Practice Facility.

Last year's Virginia Tech Pro Day was buzzing with media and NFL personnel, as two future first-round picks – Caleb Farley (No. 22, Titans) and Christian Darrisaw (No. 23, Vikings) – and safety Divine Deablo (No. 80, Raiders) headlined the day. Relive that eventful day here.

Coming off his head-turning NFL Combine in Indianapolis last month, running the fastest 40-yard dash time (4.36) by a either a defensive lineman or linebacker since 2003, defensive end Amaré Barno looks to build upon his performance in Blacksburg on Tuesday. For a full recap of how the NFL Combine went for the six Hokies.
