Center Elizabeth Kitley has been named to the U.S. Basketball Writer's Association's Third Team, the organization announced Thursday.
This comes on the heels of her AP All-America Third Team honor garnered Wednesday. Kitley became the first Hokie to make an All-America team.
Kitley, the ACC's Player of the Year and Kay Yow Scholar Athlete of the Year, is one of just three D1 athletes to average 17.3 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.45 blocks and shoot 54.8% from the floor.
The 6-foot-6 Kitley is a finalist for the Lisa Leslie Award, honoring the nation's top center in the collegiate game.
She recorded 15 double-doubles this season to lead the ACC, as did her 12 games of 20 or more points. The Summerfield, North Carolina native set and then tied her career-high by scoring 34 points in two separate contests.
An ACC All-Defensive Team selection, Kitley recorded nine games this season with four or more blocks.
She has already been honored as a Second Team All-American by The Athletic, and is a semifinalist for the Naismith Award.
