HOKIES
Despite dropping its first two ACC matches of the season against No. 27 North Carolina and No. 40 Duke, the Hokies can carry some momentum in this weekend with Ryan Fishback and Jordan Chrysostom picking up a No. 9 spot in the latest ITA doubles rankings. This result comes after the two knocked off No. 4 Mac Kiger and Brian Cernoch, as Tech claimed the first of two doubles points last weekend. Hugo Maia stepped into the lineup for the first time time this season, as well. With some reps against tough competition, Virginia Tech hopes that its singles lineup will be able to back up the impressive performances of its doubles squads.

CARDINALS
Louisville went 3-0 last weekend, with two wins against ACC foes Clemson and Georgia Tech. After falling behind early against the Tigers in the doubles point, the Cardinals rallied in singles to win four courts swiftly and took a 4-2 win. It was not as smooth sailing against Georgia Tech, however, in a match that went to the wire and required Etienne Donnet to pull off a three-set upset against No. 12 Andres Martin to clinch a 4-3 win. That win pushed Donnet to a No. 92 ranking this week.

FIGHTING IRISH
Notre Dame also walked away with wins against Georgia Tech and Clemson last weekend. Their results pushed the Fighting Irish into the top-25, landing at No. 21 in this week's rankings. After a win against No. 12 Martin of Georgia Tech, Axel Nefve moved up to No. 44 in the singles rankings, while he and Matthew Che bursted into the doubles rankings at No. 42. Notre Dame will face Virginia on Friday before meeting the Hokies.
