HOKIES
Virginia Tech had a stellar start to its season on January 22, as the squad downed ETSU, 6-1. The Hokies showed character as they earned the doubles point, clinching it in a tiebreaker o Court 2 with Erika Cheng and Rita Pinto.
Semra Aksu and Dariya Radulova picked up wins in their debuts for Tech, while Cheng and Katie Andreini added straight-set wins to the tally. The day wrapped up with Tamara Barad Itzhaki winning in three sets on Court 1.
MUSKETEERS
Xavier is 3-2 following a 4-3 win against South Florida on Saturday. Through five matches, eight players have seen action in singles. Imani Graham has gotten the most time on Court 1, boasting a 3-1 record.
SPARTANS
Michigan State, which sits at 1-1, picked up its first win of the season last weekend against DePaul. After dropping the doubles point, the Spartans had to rally n singles with a pair of three-set wins on Court 5 and 6 to earn the victory.
