BLACKSBURG -- The Virginia Tech women's basketball team (7-2) will travel to play Liberty (7-1) Tuesday night in an in-state matchup that has been contested in each of the last three seasons. It will be the Hokies' first look at Liberty Arena which opened last season.
Tech is coming off a narrow 64-58 loss to No. 11 Tennessee at Cassell Coliseum Sunday afternoon. Aisha Sheppard led all scorers with 30 points in the game, the second time in her career that she has scored 30 or more.
Center Elizabeth Kitley enters the Liberty game nine points shy of becoming the 29th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.
