Volleyball signs top-30 recruiting class

BLACKSBURG – Coming out of the Nov. 11 National Signing Day, head coach Marci Byers and the Virginia Tech volleyball team celebrate a top-30 recruiting class heading to Blacksburg in 2022.

"We are very proud of the recognition; we all have worked hard on our '22 class. We will be young, talented and hungry," Byers said.  "Sustainability is what we will strive for, building class by class. Congratulations to all our 22's, their families, and coaches along the way. An honor like this is a team effort!"

The 2022 class was ranked 30th in November by Prep Volleyball, including athletes from seven different states. Among the newest signees, three rank within the top-150, including No. 60 Hanna Borer and No. 74 Ava Francis, the highest ranked recruits for the Hokies.

This is one of the highest ranked classes in school history, as this group will join a young Hokie squad who graduates seven seniors after the 2021 season. With six freshmen seeing playing time during the 2021 season, this incoming class will have an opportunity to come in and make an immediate impact.

Tech looks forward to a full spring training season for the first time with Byers at the helm. With the addition of the 2022 class as well as a strong group of returners, the Hokies are set up for a solid 2022 season.
