BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women's golf team will take part in the Landfall Tradition, a 54-hole tournament hosted by UNC Wilmington Friday, Oct. 29 through Sunday, Oct. 31 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Tech is coming off a third-place finish at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational Oct. 15-17 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Becca DiNunzio and Emily Mahar both finished in red figures over their 54 holes to lead the Hokies.
The Landfall Tradition field boasts 18 teams, including host UNCW and six ACC programs. Three of the six are in the top 25, with No. 4 Virginia leading the way. In all, nine teams are either ranked or receiving votes that will be competing in Wilmington.
This is the second time the Hokies will compete in the tournament. Tech made its first appearance at the Landfall Tradition in 2019, finishing tied for seventh (881) with a sixth-place individual performance from Jessica Spicer (214).
Tech's lineup in Wilmington will include Mahar, DiNunzio, Keerattriya Foocharoen, Symone Henriques and Alyssa Montgomery.
Tee times for Friday and Saturday begin at 8:30 a.m., while Sunday's final round gets going with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start.
