WHAT WE'RE WATCHING FOR
Contrasting styles between the two ball clubs

Virginia Tech averages 83.0 points per game and has taken 128 shots from the floor. George Washington conversely scores 54.0 and has hoisted 122.

The Colonials have only taken 34 3's on the season. Tech matched that on Saturday against the Flames.

As a club GW shoots 34%, but for its inefficiencies on the offensive end they have kept their opponents to just 37.5 points per game and are forcing 20 turnovers.

How will the two contrasting styles play out on the floor?

Can Cayla King continue her hot start?

After a career-high 11 points in her first start, King came back this past Saturday and dropped 15 on five made 3's in the Hokies' win over Liberty. A capable shooter, she averaged 2.9 points per game last season coming off of the bench, but now as a sophomore thrust into a starting role, she will be asked to deliver more and more consistently.

Additionally, King gathered six rebounds against the Flames, a career-best and played well on the defensive end, drawing the eye of Kenny Brooks.

"Where I was most impressed with Cayla, she did a really good job on the defensive end," Brooks said after Saturday's win. "She's one of our smarter players, understands the schemes and what we want to take away from the opponent. She did a really good job of that aspect and I was proud of her."

What the Hokies' rotation will look like this week

Brooks and the Hokies have three games in the span of six days upcoming, which will undoubtedly lead to some tired legs (and minds). One would assume that he would like to get off to a hot start Tuesday and be able to lean into the bench for valuable minutes.

Da'Ja Green provided a lift with 10 points and six assists in the Hokies' win over Liberty and Alex Obouh Fegue has also added production with six points in the opener and five rebounds Saturday.

Brooks has also praised the effort of G/F Makayla Ennis and will look to get Taylor Geiman back in rhythm on the offensive side of the court.

•A 58TH consecutive win at Cassell for the program

The Hokies haven't lost a home non-conference game since December 4, 2014, a streak of 56 consecutive games. In Coach Brooks' tenure, he is 41-0 and his Hokies own an average margin of victory of 24.6 and have 13 wins of 30 or more points.

A scheduling note, Tech's contest on Friday December 4 against Appalachian State has been moved to a 4 p.m. tip on ACC Network. Jenn Hildreth and Debbie Antonelli will be to broadcast duo for the game.
