GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Boston College sophomore forward Taylor Soule has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, and Virginia Tech center Elizabeth Kitley is the ACC Freshman of the Week.
Kitley helped the Hokies claim two victories this past week scoring 35 total points and grabbing 18 rebounds. In the overtime victory over Georgia Tech the freshman scored 14 points on 5 of 11 shooting. Then on Sunday afternoon she led the Hokies with 21 points on 9 of 14 shooting from the floor as Tech earned its third consecutive league win, taking their season tally to nine. She also registered a double-double with 14 rebounds against the Demon Deacons, her fourth of the season.

For the week, she averaged 17.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. She earns ACC Freshman of the Week for the second time this year, becoming the first Hokies to do so.
The Summerfield, North Carolina native has started every game this season, contributing 11.6 points per game as well as 7.3 rebounds. She has worked efficiently all season, shooting 55% from the field. In addition, she has protected the basket with 48 blocks, the second most in the conference.
Kitley and the Hokies are next on the court Thursday, February 20 at Notre Dame, a game which can be seen on ACC Network at 8 p.m.
