Hokies head to program record fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech men's soccer team secured a National Seeding in the NCAA Tournament, as they were surrounded by friends and family at Monday's NCAA watch party in Lane Stadium.

Earning the 10th seed in the NCAA Tournament, the Hokies claimed a first round bye and will face the winner of the matchup between New Hampshire and Fairleigh Dickinson.

The game will be played on Sunday November 24th at Thompson Field with kickoff set for 4 p.m.

Tech finished the 2019 season 9-5-3 (2-4-2), while owning a top 10 RPI and the second hardest schedule in the country. With this trip to the postseason, the Hokies head to the tournament for the fourth consecutive year, surpassing their previous program-best stretch from 2005-07. During their current tournament stretch, the Hokies made the Elite 8 in 2016 and second round appearances in 2017 and 2018.

The ACC had 10 teams make the 48-team field, which set a new recorder for the most ever from one conference.

Tickets for Sunday's match are $5 and will be available for purchase with cash at the Thompson Field gates on gameday. Virginia Tech students can get in free with their Hokie Passport.Gallery: (11/18/2019) 2019 MEN'S SOCCER NCAA SELECTION SHOW
