RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Tech wrapped up the final day of competition on Sunday at the River City Tennis Open in Richmond, Virginia.
Ryan and Chase Bernstine paired up to make it to the finals of the D Doubles flight, but the match was suspended due to darkness. The Hokies trailed JMU's Will Karpinski and Holden Koons.
Tech will be back on the court next week for the ITA Atlantic Region Championships.

RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Tech men's tennis wrapped up the second day of competition on Saturday at the River City Tennis Open in Richmond, Virginia.
Chase Bernstine battled to three sets in both of his matches today. In the opening match, he faced Appalachian State's Alex Pavkovich as the two went to a breaker in the first set, but the Mountaineer player held to win it 7-6. Bernstine rallied to win the second set 6-4, but Pavkovich took the third by the same margin.
In his second match of the day, Bernstine fell to Campbell's Fernando Clemente 6-3 in the first set before coming back to win the second 6-4. In the superbreaker, Bernstine was edged 1-0(8).
Tech will conclude the River City Tennis Open on Sunday.

RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Tech advanced in singles and doubles on Friday during the first day of the River City Tennis Open in Richmond, Virginia.
Chase and Ryan Bernstine teamed up for a pair of wins in doubles with the Hokie duo starting with a 6-3 decision over JMU's Stefan Petrovic and Josh Raymundo.
In the second match, the Bernstines downed Liberty's William Baker and Ian Sturgill, 6-4. With the win, the Hokies advance to the finals of the D flight.
Chase Bernstine also picked up a win in singles to advance in the E flight, defeating Rithik Sardana of George Mason.
The Hokies will be back on the court Saturday morning for the second day of competition.
