Hokies travel to VCU for midweek match

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech men's tennis team is on the road for a midweek match, traveling to VCU for a 1 p.m. start time on Wednesday, March 27.

THE HOKIES (12-5, 3-3 ACC)
Virginia Tech picked up a pair of ACC wins over the weekend, defeating Clemson 6-1 before downing No. 44 Georgia Tech 4-2. The Hokies rolled past the Tigers, winning five singles matches including four in straight sets.
 
Against the Yellow Jackets, the Hokies battled to three sets on all but one court before senior No. 56 Jason Kros clinched the win for Tech as he knocked off No. 30 Carlos Divar.
 
THE RAMS (12-7, 2-0 A10)
VCU split results last weekend, falling to MTSU 4-3 before claiming the 6-1 win over George Washington. A pair of Rams earned A-10 weekly honors with Inigo Torre Martin taking home Player of the Week and Rayane Stable claiming Rookie of the Week recognition. Both went undefeated in singles and doubles.
 
UP NEXT: The Hokies return to Blacksburg for their final home weekend of the season, hosting Boston College on Friday and Notre Dame on Sunday.
