NOTABLES ON THE HOKIES
- Tech has fared well against teams from the Big Ten recently, winning each of the last four ACC/Big Ten Challenge matchups.
- The Hokies, one of 13 unbeaten teams in Division I are receiving votes once again in both major polls this week, 21 in the AP Poll and 22 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
- Tech stands at 10-0 for the fifth time in program history, most recently accomplishing the feat in 2016-17, Head Coach Kenny Brooks' first season in Blacksburg. That team started the season 15-0. The Hokies have also started the 98-99, 03-04 and 05-06 seasons 10-0.
- Forward Regan Magarity became the first Hokie to ever record 1,000 rebounds when she pulled down 10 in last weekend's contest against Mount St. Mary's. The redshirt senior joins an elite group, becoming just the sixth active player in D1 to record 1,000 boards. She is second in the country in rebounds this season and first in rebounds per game. Magarity is also the league leader in double-doubles, tallying seven so far in 2018-19.
