100TH COMMONWEALTH CLASH SET         
• A pair of rivals separated by approximately 150 miles will square off for the 100th time when Virginia Tech hosts Virginia on Friday at Lane Stadium.
• Virginia Tech is seeking its 15th consecutive victory in the annual clash for the Commonwealth Cup against Virginia after posting a 10-0 decision last year in Charlottesville (11/24/07).
• Tech owns the longest active FBS winning streak against its biggest rival, owning 14 straight wins over Virginia.  
 • The Hokies are 18-1 in their last 19 games vs. Virginia. The next-closest teams in terms of in-state dominance over an in-state rival over that span is Oklahoma (15-4 vs. Oklahoma State) and USC (15-5 vs. UCLA). 
• Tech is coming off a 38-14 loss vs. Miami (11/17), while UVA suffered a 30-27 loss in OT at Georgia Tech (11/17).
• Tech's last loss to the Cavaliers was a 35-21 decision at UVA (11/29/03), meaning the Hokies are undefeated against Virginia since joining the ACC in 2004.

• Virginia Tech is 42-3 all-time in ACC games when scoring 30+ points, including a 6-0 mark vs. Virginia.
• UVA is 3-16 under Bronco Mendenhall when allowing 30+ points. UVA has permitted 20.8 ppg in its last six games following a 35-21 loss at NC State (9/29).
• Virginia is 3-8 in ACC road games under Mendenhall, owning wins at Duke (2016, 2018) and at North Carolina (2017).
