BLACKSBURG - The No. 37-ranked Virginia Tech men's tennis team rounds out the end of its regular season this weekend, starting on April 20 when the Hokies host No. 41 Louisville at 11 a.m. Tech will follow with a Commonwealth Clash matchup as the Hokies host No. 43 Virginia on Sunday at 1 p.m.

THE HOKIES (15-6, 5-5 ACC)
Virginia Tech has been winners of five straight matches, including a 6-1 victory over VCU in the Hokies last matchup. This winning streak has propelled Tech into the ITA men's Division I college team standings, currently ranked 37th - the highest ranking for the team this season.
Tech's Mitch Harper enters the weekend ranked 37th, after defeating VCU's Arvid Noren in straight sets. The junior is now 12-5 during the spring at the one. Jason Kros and Alexandre Ribeiro also won their respective matchup against VCU in straight sets. Kros is now 9-8 on the year, while Ribeiro is 15-5. Ribeiro is ranked in doubles at 61st with teammate Henrik Korsgaard. The pair is 6-4 at the one.
THE CARDINALS (15-9, 5-6 ACC)
Louisville fell to No. 25 NC State in its last matchup 4-2, causing the Cardinals to drop two spots in the rankings to 41st. Christopher Morin-Koucheff and Nicolas Rouanet picked up wins for Louisville.
Morin-Kougoucheff, who is currently ranked No. 53 and has a 12-3 recorded in the one spot, has won two straight matches. The Cardinals' other ranked player is No. 103 Parker Wynn who has an overall record of 25-9 this year. Morin-Kougoucheff and Wynn also play as a doubles team, owning a ranking of No. 15, with a record of 27-10.
THE CAVALIERS (12-10, 5-6)
Defending national champion Virginia fell to No. 1 Wake Forest, 6-1 the last time out. The Cavaliers have dropped five of their last six matches, and are currently ranked 43rd in the ITA.
The team is led by No. 27- ranked Carl Söderlund, who is 10-4 in the one spot and is 7-3 in his last 10 matchups. The Cavaliers' other ranked player is No. 32 Aswin Lizen, who has a 30-4 record on the year and is 9-1 in his last 10 contests. UVA also has two ranked doubles teams as Lizen is paired with Gianni Ross and currently rank No. 32 with an 8-6 overall record. The other doubles team is Söderlund and his partner Matthew Lord, ranked No. 43 with an 8-1 tally on the season.
Sunday's match is part of the Commonwealth Clash presented by Virginia529. With softball's win last weekend, the Hokies currently lead 8.5 to 6.5. Tech will also face UVA on Saturday in Lacrosse.
