BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Virginia Tech has announced updated times and television information for the 2009-10 men’s basketball season.
All men’s basketball game times are now set, as well as most women’s basketball game times. The women now have all of their television appearances set, while the men are still waiting on two games to have their television announced.
The most recent men’s game to be updated is the Dec. 6 game against Georgia in Cassell Coliseum. This game will be played at 3:30 p.m., as the second half of a men’s/women’s doubleheader. Neither game will be televised. The women’s game vs. North Carolina Central will tip-off at 1 p.m.
The men’s basketball game against Seton Hall on Jan. 2 in Cancun, Mexico, will tip-off at 7:30 p.m., EST and will be televised by ESPN2. The Hokies annual visit to Virginia, on Jan. 28, will now tip-off at 8 p.m. and will be televised by Comcast SportsNet.
One men’s basketball game has changed a previously announced start time. The Hokies’ game at Penn State on Dec. 12 has been moved from the original 8 p.m. start time up to a new 7 p.m. start time. The game will be televised live on ESPN2.
Along with the establishment of game times for the women’s home games, one women’s road game has changed. The Hokies game at Radford on Wednesday, Nov. 25, has been moved from 7 p.m., up to a new 5 p.m., start time.
The Hokies will open the 2009-10 basketball season on Friday, Oct. 16, as the teams host "Late Night with the Hokies", in Cassell Coliseum at 9 p.m. Admission is free.
