BLACKSBURG, Va. – Sophomore Felicia Willoughby earned ACC Volleyball Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday. Willoughby helped the Hokies to sweeps over Boston College and Maryland on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
On the weekend, Willoughby led the team in kills with 27, 14 against Boston College and 13 against Maryland, and blocks with 10, six against the Eagles and four versus the Terrapins. The Pleasanton, Calif., hit .525 on the weekend to raise her season’s average to .403, a team-high.
The Virginia Tech volleyball squad will travel to North Carolina next week for matches against Wake Forest and Duke. The Hokies take on the Demon Deacons on Thursday at 7 p.m., and face the Blue Devils on Friday at 7 p.m. Results will be posted on hokiesports.com following the match.
