Resident, Sports Medicine - Track and Field, Cross Country

Responsibilities: Rebekah is a Resident Athletic Trainer for the Virginia Tech Track & Field/Cross-Country teams. 

Joined VT Athletics Staff: 2021 

Prior to Virginia Tech: Rebekah attended The University of Central Florida (UCF) where she graduated in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. While at UCF, Rebekah worked with a variety of teams including women’s soccer, men’s tennis, and football. She was a member of the Student Athletic Trainers’ Organization (SATO), the Southeast Athletic Trainers’ Association (SEATA), and the Athletic Trainers’ Association of Florida (ATAF). After UCF, she earned her master’s in Exercise Science with a concentration in Sport Management from Tennessee Technological University in May of 2021. She spent two years as a graduate assistant at Tennessee Tech working predominantly with their football team. She was also a member of the Tennessee Athletic Trainers’ Society (TATS). 

Education: The University of Central Florida, 2019 (BS in Athletic Training); Tennessee Technological University, 2021 (MA in Exercise Science, Physical Education and Wellness, Concentration: Sport Management)

Of Note: Rebekah is a proud second-generation athletic trainer and has been a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) since 2019. She is a licensed athletic trainer by the Virginia Board of Health Professionals. She is also SASTM certified. 

Personal: Rebekah grew up in Tampa, Florida with her parents and 3 siblings. She currently resides in Blacksburg, VA with her dog, Kona.
