Prior to Virginia Tech: Mackenzie attended George Fox University where she graduated in 2019 with her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. While at GFU, she worked with the university’s football team, an Oregon Health and Science University clinic and Portland State’s football team. She also spent the summer prior to her senior year interning at Clínica Aston, a physiotherapy clinic in Valencia, Spain. After graduating from GFU, Mackenzie worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for Utah State University’s football and women’s tennis teams.

Of Note: Mackenzie is a licensed and certified athletic trainer through the Virginia Board of Health professionals and the Board of Certification for athletic trainers. Mackenzie has been an active member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association since 2017. She also earned the Outstanding Athletic Training Student award for her graduating class at GFU in 2019.
Personal: Mackenzie is from Maple Valley, WA and now lives in Blacksburg, VA.
