Lacrosse program secures signing of Ava Menna

Midfielder starred at Liberty, recorded 174 draws in a single season

BLACKSBURG – Kristen Skiera and the Virginia Tech lacrosse team announced the signing of midfielder Ava Menna Thursday. Menna, who played for three seasons at Liberty, played in 50 games and made 31 starts. She owns 276 draw controls for her career and has also caused 25 turnovers, grabbed 14 ground balls and notched two assists.

In the 2026 season, she started in 11 of 16 games and ranked fourth in the ASUN conference is draw controls at 5.56 per game.

Her sophomore season, the Marietta, Georgia native recorded 174 draws, the second-highest tally in Liberty’s program history. Menna’s 276 total draws also rank second.

Menna has earned the CUSA Commissioner’s Academic Medal twice and was named to the ASUN All-Conference Second Team in 2025.
