Virginia Tech baseball revises season-opening schedule with William & Mary

Hokies, Tribe move Friday's series-opening start time to 3 p.m. ET at English Field (previously 4 p.m. ET) and condense remaining series schedule into Saturday doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. ET

BLACKSBURG – Due to inclement weather forecast on Sunday in the Blacksburg area, the Virginia Tech athletic department announced on Wednesday a revised schedule for the baseball program’s season-opening home weekend against William & Mary, affecting games to be played at English Field between Feb. 13 and Feb. 15.

On Friday, Feb. 13, Virginia Tech’s season-opening home game against William & Mary has been moved to 3 p.m. ET (previously 4 p.m. ET).

On Saturday, Feb. 14, Virginia Tech will now host a 1 p.m. ET doubleheader against William & Mary with game two following approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of game one. With Saturday’s new doubleheader, the Hokies and the Tribe will no longer contest their previously scheduled series finale on Sunday, Feb. 15.

All three games between Virginia Tech and William & Mary will air live on radio via the Virginia Tech Sports Network.

Friday’s season opener will air live in Southwest Virginia courtesy of WBRW 105.3 FM “The Bear” and in Lynchburg courtesy of VTRN Sports 93.3 FM. Saturday’s doubleheader will air live in Southwest Virginia courtesy of WVXL 100.7 FM.

Additionally, all radio broadcasts of Virginia Tech baseball games will air live via the free HokieSports app.

Live streaming will not be available for Virginia Tech baseball home games during the month of February.
