BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech football's Jaden Keller will wear the No. 25 jersey during the ACC road matchup against Boston College.

Saturday's contest in Chestnut Hill will be Keller's first time being selected to honor Frank Beamer's legacy. The redshirt sophomore is the second linebacker this season to wear No. 25, joining Will Johnson, who wore the iconic jersey against Marshall.

"25 is a big accomplishment, especially at this university," Keller reflected. "I'm super appreciative; I want to go out there and make plays and do the best I can."

The Bristol, Tennessee native has amassed 19 total tackles and three tackles for loss in 2023. Playing in the middle of Tech's defense, Keller has registered a tackle grade of 72.2 or higher, according to Pro Football Focus, in five games this season.

Tech retired Frank Beamer's No. 25 jersey in 2002, and since the start of the 2016 season, the Hokies have been paying homage to Tech's legacy of excellence on special teams by selecting a different special teams athlete each week to wear the honorary Beamer 25 jersey. For more information on who has worn it in the past.
