BLACKSBURG – Senior center Elizabeth Kitley earned ACC Player of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
Kitley recorded two double-doubles, both in Tech wins last week as the Hokies swept UNC and defeated Georgia Tech in the final game of the season. She averaged 25.0 points, 10.5 rebounds while shooting 64.7%

Against No. 22 UNC, she led all scorers with 21 points, which helped her break former teammate Aisha Sheppard's scoring record. Kitley hit the game-winning shot as time expired, completing a 10-point comeback victory in Chapel Hill.

In Atlanta, she went 13-20 from the floor scoring a season-high 29 points. It was her 14th 20-point game of the season.

Kitley and the Hokies are winners of eight straight games heading into the ACC Tournament

The Summerfield, North Carolina native ranks fourth in the conference in scoring (18.78), second in field goal percentage (.569), first in rebounds (10.74), first in blocks (2.3), first in double-doubles (18) and is the only athlete in the conference to record a 20-rebound game.

The honor is her fourth of the season and ninth of her career.

Kitley is the only athlete to win the award four times this season.
