1. At what age did you begin playing volleyball and what do you love most about playing?
LRW: I started playing at the age of 10 and I love the many relationships I am able to make through volleyball the most.
2. Why did you choose Virginia Tech?
LRW: I chose Virginia Tech because of how easily and quickly I connected with the many people who make up Tech, such as the coaching staff, the academic support staff, the team and many more.
3. What are you most excited for as you head into your first season as a Hokie?
LRW: I am excited to come in as a small-town girl from Hawai'i and experience high level play in Cassell Coliseum.
4. What position do you play and how did you begin playing that position?
LRW: I am an outside hitter and I began playing this position because when I was little, I was too short to play middle and too tall to play any defensive positions so outside hitter it was.
5. What is your major and why did you choose it?
LRW: I am planning to major in Wildlife Resources and I chose it because I would like to go back home to Hawai'i and make a positive impact on our wildlife there.
6. Describe yourself in three words
LRW: Funny, chill and goofy.
7. What is your favorite place to eat at in Blacksburg so far?
LRW: The Cellar.
8. What does it mean to you to be a Hokie?
LRW: A Hokie is a goal-achieving, striving, and grinding independent that looks towards their future.
