1. At what age did you begin playing volleyball and what do you love most about playing?

JB: I started playing volleyball when I was nine years old. I started in fourth grade when my teacher convinced me to play. I love playing volleyball because of the competitive nature, teamwork, and fast pace associated with volleyball.

 2. Why did you choose Virginia Tech?

JB: I chose Virginia Tech because of the relationships I developed with the coaching staff. I wanted a school that had high level volleyball and strong academics, which Virginia Tech offers both.

3. What are you most excited for as you head into your first season as a Hokie?

JB: I'm super excited to be a part of the Hokie community! I'm most excited to play in the ACC and play high level volleyball. Also, I'm excited to learn more about the game of volleyball from the coaches and to play in Cassell this fall!

4. What position do you play and how did you begin playing that position?

JB: I am a DS/L, I was thrown into this position because I was always shorter than everyone else.

5. What is your major and why did you choose it?

JB: My major is criminology and I choose this because I've always had a fascination with crime and discovering why crime happens. I have goals of becoming a defective one day.

JB: Kind, Hard-working, Adaptable

7. What is your favorite place to eat at in Blacksburg so far?
