New York, N.Y. – The 2022 WNBA Draft is set to take place on Monday, April 11 beginning at 7 p.m. on ESPN live from New York, New York. Virginia Tech guard Aisha Sheppard, who was not one of the 12 invitees to the Draft, will be eagerly awaiting having her name called during the event.
Sheppard, the program's all-time leader in games played and points scored, will look to become the sixth woman in program history to be selected in the WNBA Draft.
She concluded her career in first place all-time in the ACC with 402 3-pointers scored and she owns the top three single-season performances in that category at VT. Sheppard is a three-time All-ACC selection and earned Honorable Mention All-America honors in 2021. She was also recognized as the Skelton Award for Academic Excellence in Athletics in 2021.
