BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech junior Logan Mosley became the 19th volleyball player in program history to reach 1,000 career digs, while No. 2 Louisville swept the Hokies Friday night at Cassell Coliseum.
The Apex, North Carolina native recorded her ninth and record-clinching dig late in the third set. She is the first Tech player to reach 1,000 career digs since Carol Raffety did so on Sept. 7, 2018. Mosley entered Friday night's match as the ACC leader in total digs.
Marisa Cerchio paced the Tech attack with 11 kills at a .333 clip, while Talyn Jackson manufactured 34 assists. Jackson and Angel Robinson combined for four blocks to lead the Hokies at the net.
Tech finished the night with a .210 attack percentage and held its opposition to .295.
Anna Stevenson totaled a match-high 13 kills while swinging .526 and played a role in two of the Cards' six total blocks. Tori Dilfer ran the offense to a tune of 36 assists, and Aiko Jones dialed up three aces.
The Hokies are back at home Sunday when they welcome Notre Dame for a 1 p.m. first serve that will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
