Robinson named Most Outstanding Player at Chattanooga Classic

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – After a 2-1 weekend for the Virginia Tech volleyball team at the Chattanooga Classic, Angel Robinson has been named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player, while Logan Mosley and Griere Hughes were named to the All-Tournament team.
 
Robinson ended her weekend with 21 kills and a .370 hitting percentage. She played in all 12 sets for the Hokies and had 12 total blocks. The senior had her best match of the weekend in the win over Chattanooga, recording 11 kills and a .375 hitting percentage. She also had six block assists, a weekend-high for her.
 
Defensively, Mosley led the Hokies with 49 digs, good for 4.08 digs per set over the weekend. The libero posted a .949 reception percentage and also had five assists over the three matches. She posted a season-high three aces in the win over Chattanooga and had a weekend-high 20 digs against Troy.
 
Hughes led the Hokies with 32 kills on the weekend, averaging 2.67 kills per set. She also had 8 total blocks and a team-high 37.5 points. The graduate student posted several season-highs, with 12 kills and 13.5 points against Chattanooga
