Women’s hoops set to play host to Notre Dame Thursday night

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women's basketball team is back on the court this Thursday, January 21 to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Tip is set for 7 p.m. on Regional Sports Networks. 
 
Tech's center Elizabeth Kitley was named the ACC's Co-Player of the Week after securing two double-doubles and averaging 18.0 points and 17.5 rebounds. Her 21 rebounds against Wake Forest tied a program record and was the highest rebound tally in the conference since 2019.

In the first matchup of the season, the Hokies held a lead for much of the contest before Notre Dame took control late and emerged with the victory. Kitley led all scorers with 25 and Georgia Amoore scored a season-best 23 in the game.
