Diving sweeps Virginia in first day of competition


CHARLOTTESVILLE -- The Virginia Tech swim and dive team swept the first day of competition in the 1M and 3M diving portion of the 2021 Commonwealth Clash.
 
The Hokies placed first in all four events. Noah Zawadzki led the team placing first in both events, Taj Cole followed placing second in both the 1M and 3M. Joseph Perreault claimed third in the 3M behind Zawadzki and Perreault.
 
Izzi Mroz finished first in the 3M and fifth in the 1M. Teagan Moravek finished first in the 1M.
 
The Hokies will resume competition in Charlottesville Saturday at 11 a.m with coverage available through ACC Network Extra.
