BLACKSBURG – Following its three-game home stand, the Virginia Tech men's basketball team will hit the road for Durham and will take on No. 6/6 Duke on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.

The Hokies (15-11, 6-9 ACC) will take on the Blue Devils (22-4, 12-3) for the second time this season, seeking revenge from their 77-63 loss in Blacksburg on Dec. 6. Tech got up double-digits in the first half, but a big Duke run in the second half would be the difference.

The series between the two schools, which is in Duke's favor at 48-11, has definitely been kicked up a notch as of late after Tech losing nine straight from 2010-15, with the series being tied at 3-3 the last six games since 2016.

Tech coach Mike Young is 0-2 all-time versus Duke's Mike Krzyzewski, falling this past December and in 2014 when he was at Wofford.

The matchup will be broadcast on ESPN2, with Dave O'Brien (play-by-play) and Cory Alexander (analyst) on the call, while Jon Laaser (play-by-play) and Mike Burnop (analyst) will be the call for radio on Virginia Tech Sports Properties.

The last time out, Tech came up short in its fourth-ever triple overtime game Wednesday against Miami (Fla.) (14-12, 6-10) by a score of 102-95. The Hokies were up by seven points with four minutes to go in regulation, but squandered their lead.

Tech ranks third in the ACC and 13th nationally in fewest fouls committed per game with 14.5 a contest. However, the Hokies fouled the Hurricanes 23 times the last time out. When Tyrece Radford logged a career-high 50 minutes vs. Miami (Fla.), it tied the most-ever by a Hokie in the ACC era, joining Malcolm Delaney in 2010 vs. Maryland.

SCOUTING No. 6/6 DUKE

•  The Blue Devils are coming off a 22-point loss on the road to NC State (17-9, 8-7) this past Wednesday, marking the Wolfpack's first 20-point win over a top-10 opponent since 1965 and gave them their sixth victory over Duke in Raleigh the past eight tries. Duke's Vernon Carey Jr. had a team-high 27 points and 12 rebounds for his 13th double-double.

•  Head coach Mike Krzyzewski enters his 40th season in Durham, following his five-year stint as the head coach at Army West Point from 1975-80. A five-time national champion and 12-time Final Four participant, Coach K has the most wins in the history of college basketball on the men's side in Division I with 1,154.

•  Duke is paced by preseason All-ACC pick Tre Jones and his 6.7 assists per game, which ranks ninth nationally and tops in the ACC. On the inside, Carey has the best field-goal percentage in the ACC with 58.4, while he gets to the line at will, owning the 12th-most free throw attempts in the land at 180.

•  One of the better shot-blocking teams there is in the country, the Blue Devils are averaging the eighth-most blocks per game with 5.8, which sits at No. 1 in the conference. They aren't too shabby on the offensive end either, having the fourth-best scoring offense in the nation (82.4 points per game).
