January issue of Inside Hokie Sports launched

BLACKSBURG – The third issue of Inside Hokie Sports for the 2019-20 academic year has been mailed, and the staff launched the latest interactive online version that is FREE to all fans.
 
To access the new online version, please click here to get to Inside Hokie Sports' new web page on hokiesports.com and then click where it says, "Read Current Issue." The online format includes the implementation of videos, and it allows readers to bookmark articles, start a slideshow, and share through one's social media outlets, along with more.
 
Past issues can easily be accessed by clicking the links at the bottom of the web page. Please feel free to reach out with comments about the magazine or ideas for content.
 
This third issue of Inside Hokie Sports has an array of features, including one on retiring defensive coordinator Bud Foster, who has played a large part in making Virginia Tech a national name in college football. Other features include one on Wabissa Bede, who is leading the surprising Virginia Tech men's basketball team, and one on David McFadden, a Tech wrestler who recently won his 100th career match. In addition, the cover girl – Taja Cole – tells of how she wound up in Blacksburg playing for a coach whom she has known for quite some time.
 
The issue features the top Virginia Tech Athletics moments of the past decade and a short piece on how a group of student-athletes are tackling mental health challenges. Finally, the magazine includes columns from Jimmy Robertson and Jon Laaser, and more.
