Hokies sweep men’s ACC swim & dive weekly honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Virginia Tech men's swimming & diving swept the ACC weekly honors as Blake Manoff earns Swimmer of the Week and Noah Zawadzki picks up Diver of the Week accolades announced Tuesday by the league office.

Swimming against No. 15 Virginia, Manoff helped No. 24 Virginia Tech to a win over its in-state rival. A sophomore from Haymarket, Virginia, the Hokie swimmer won the 100 fly (47.55), 200 free and 400 freestyle relay. Manoff was also part of the second-place 200 medley relay team. In the 200 free, Manoff hit an NCAA B cut time with a final of 1:36.06.

Zawadzki swept the springboard competitions to propel Virginia Tech to a top-15 win over the Cavaliers. Hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina, the sophomore diver scored a 368.85 on the 1-meter boards and a 395.10 on the 3-meter boards. Both scores were NCAA zone cuts and Zawadzki hit a personal best in 3-meter.

This marks both Hokies second weekly honors this season. It is also the second career honor for Manoff and the third for Zawadzki after he also picked up accolades his freshman year.
